Gredos NEW TOUR 2009 PLANNED in: the most impressive River Canyons of the Iberian Peninsula on the border with Portugal known as the ARRIBES DEL DUERO and their surrounding plateaux and open agricultural fields. Land of Griffon and Egyptian vultures, Bonnelli's and Golden Eagles, Peregrine Falcons, Alpine Swifts, Choughs and Blue Rock Thrushes. On the plateaux where the holm oak and prickly juniper dominate, Short-toed and Booted Eagles, Red and Black Kites, Orphean, Subalpine, Spectacled and Dartford Warblers and many other birds typical of this habitat are to be seen whereas Black-winged kite, Montagu's Harrier, Little Bustard, Thekla and Calandra Larks turn up on the open habitat of the cultivated lands.
