Local birdwatching walks/tours in the Sierra de Gredos
Your guide will take you through different areas and habitats, across the northern slopes of the mountains. The walks usually last approximately 3 hours. One day or longer tours can also be arranged.
Depending on the season, we will move along different areas.As a general rule, our itineraries won't be longer than 6 km and the terrain will be easy. We may walk through pinewoods, mountain peat marshes, pastures and scrubland, Pyrenean and holm oakwoods, along mountain streams or the river banks of the Tormes or near rocky outcrops where birds of prey and vultures nest.
Equipment
We can provide all the equipment necessary: binoculars and bird books. The guide will also have a telescope available throughout the tour.
