For the second year running Gredos Vivo (The Living Gredos) is organising tours in and around the Gredos mountain range in central western Spain . Three exciting new itineraries are offered to explore various landscapes and discover their wildlife whilst acquiring a taste of the local culture, tradition and gastronomy:
- The Gredos Mountains and Monfragüe
(6-12 May 2007) - The Gredos Mountains and the Northern Plateau
(14-20 May 2007) - The Southern Gredos and Monfragüe
(15-19 April 2007)
These trips have been designed for those who enjoy watching birds while discovering the beauty and distinctive features of new environments at a leisurely pace. They are not aimed at obtaining the longest bird list in the shortest time possible! Walking is easy, generally not more than 2-3 miles at a time. Should a more challenging walk be involved at any point, it would be optional. Some days, lunch will be a picnic and most days there will be free time for everyone to enjoy in his or her own way.

The Gredos mountains, in central western Spain, is a protected natural park well known for its diversity of habitats and birds. Gredos Vivo (The Living Gredos) also offers to take you on short birding walks through some of the best areas of the northern part of the mountains to discover. All the tours are in small groups (maximum of 10).
Note: Please note that tailor-made trips can also be arranged for a minimum of 2 travellers.
